Speaking from personal experience too, simply asking people nicely to leave doesn't work anymore so we have to take more drastic measures. The courts sure the hell don't do anything about trespassers! So now, we take measures into our own hands... These people got off easy.
I say to the trespassers "Keep your entitled asses at home - This is MY property so stay the hell off unless I invite you!"
