On August 18, 2023 at approximately 11:50 pm, I, Trooper Jeb Little #586, observed a gray passenger car traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain its lane of traffic on Interstate 30 West near the 142mm. At 11:51 pm I activated my lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop with the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle failed to yield to my lights and siren. Shortly after a pursuit was called.
The suspect vehicle took the exit ramp from Interstate 30 West to Interstate 630 West while traveling at a high rate of speed and passed a pedestrian-vehicle recklessly. The suspect vehicle failed to negotiate a right curve at a high rate of speed, lost control, and struck the concrete traffic barrier located on the south side of the roadway effectively disabling his vehicle.
